Thirteen-year-old Freya Wilson has always had a love of playing football and joined her first team at eight years old.
During lockdown Freya started having seizures and was later diagnosed with a brain tumour (dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumour) on her right frontal lobe 🧠. After being prescribed medication to control the seizures throughout the summer of 2020 she finally got her operation date through to remove the tumour on the 20th October 2020.
After a long recovery, she was finally allowed to continue playing football in March 2021 and is now back training and playing matches every week.
Freya is the face of our new pink grip socks, that have been launched in memory of Gary Corbett and a percentage from every sale will be donated to Brain Tumour Research 💗
